RIVIERA ART WEEK
Re-connect with your soul through art, nature and your senses
in an eco-sustainable, breathtaking environment
FROM TOURIST TO TRAVELER TO LOCAL, fully-immersed in the beautiful natural landscape of the Italian Riviera along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea in the Liguria Region, 2hrs by train from Nice International Airport, we are now offering:
art workshops in:
pottery/ceramics; glass, iron sculpture, painting,
calligraphy and paper-making
Taught by experienced instructors
The venue is in a fully restored 18th Century old villa perched on the top of the hills near Alassio in Liguria, with a 360degree sweeping view of the gulf, immersed in the Mediterranean vegetation where SEA, NATURE and ART blend in a magic way.
This is the place chosen by the last famous Norwegian explorer, Tor Heyerdahl, who restored a small Medieval village that became his base for the rest of his life and where his artist daughter still live.
The villa, run by a family of International artists, has a unique contemporary art permanent collection in the large ground outside the premises which is inspirational and conducive to the individual art work that will be done during the workshops.
The villa can comfortably host small groups of maximum 12 people who will experience the local hearty, authentic hospitality while working on their art in a beautiful large studio-space next to their room. During breaks, there is a nice, good-size pool to relax sampling genuine local food and wine or learning about our Mediterranean herbs in the near garden.
Wine and olive-oil tastings will be offered with visits to local producers as well as a wide range of other activities ranging from low-impact sport activities such as bush-walks to yoga class or kayak excursions, sightseeing to local old villages, sustainable fishing trips and even cooking classes on the premises!
