BY WHOM: TEC-TURIN EDUCATIONAL CONSORTIUM, DEDICATED TO CUSTOMIZED EDUCATIONAL TRIPS FOR YOUNG STUDENTS WORLDWIDE
Far From the Madding Crowd of the pre-packaged tours of Rome, Florence and Venice, there is another Italy yet to be discovered. At TEC, we specialize in providing dedicated educational programs for international students looking for an in-depth experience embracing Italian arts, history, culture, food and lifestyle pertaining to a selected territory.
Our 33 students from the Minneapolis De la Salle High School requested a program based on Food Sciences and Environmental Sustainability. In the group, some 60% have been overseas before, of which 11 traveled Europe. Program consisted of a series of visits, travels and hands-on experience in food preparation, including wine, pasta, chocolate, cheese; lectures on nutritional trends, but also sightseeing and historical walks in Turin, trekking walks at the Gran Paradiso national park and up to whales-watching at the Pelagos sanctuary in the Tyrrhenian sea.
At the end of those intensive days, we asked our guests to share with us their honest and open impressions and remarks of this experience, and the results confirm that the quality and content of the programs we designed fully met the expectations of the students. TEC works in close cooperation with the Collegio San Giuseppe, part of De la Salle network, which was the host of our Minnesota group.
